Hi, even though the popular websites are not detecting, I think there’s are websites, for example the above one, that can detect. If people don’t use the popular ones to check, they can use other websites, like the above one, and they can know that I use WordPress. By default, It should have been hidden to all websites that detect WordPress.
Well, that means it doesn’t work as you advertise. No reason to point to “while other detectors don’t” because the point is if they use this website to check or other websites else that your plugin doesn’t update for, that means they can know that I use WordPress. If your plugin doesn’t update for this website, it means there’re many websites out there, too, that your plugin doesn’t update for. I thought your plugin would hide “any” detecting websites, but no. You have to update your plugin for the detector that still detects your plugin. Well, this doesn’t make sense.
There are several detectors available and they keep updating their detection algorithm. In that case we too might need to update our plugin’s code so that they don’t detect wordpress. I hope you got my point here.
And it’s not that all the sites that have HMWP will be detected by isitwp.com. It depends on the theme, plugins installed and other server settings. For example, our demo site http://hide-my-wp.wpwave.com/ is not detected with isitwp.
