    Hello,

I activated HMWP for my multisite network but after activation I get a 404 error page. When I try to access the network admin section, i get this 404 error page. I deactivated all my plugins, it did not stop. I renamed the HMWP folder and the network URL becomes accessible. Can someone please help me out? My site URL is http://12blog.org/

    Thanks

Hi, did you follow these steps:
    – goto HMWP >> ‘Start’ Tab >> select ‘Medium Privacy – More Compatibility’ scheme >> click ‘Save Settings’
    – goto HMWP >> ‘Start’ Tab >> click ‘Multi-site Configuration’
    – now use a FTP program or your host file manager and add those lines to your htaccess file (after RewriteRule ^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?wp-admin$ […])

Thanks for the response. The problem is that immediately I activate the phugin, I do not get any notice that the plugin was successfully activated, but I get a 404 error page. When I try to access the network admin so as to do the configuration, I get the 404 error.

Do you know why this could be happening?

    Thanks.

After activating HMWP plugin, your admin login URL becomes http://12blog.org/wp-login.php?hide_my_wp=1234

Here, “hide_my_wp=1234” is default secret key which you can change in HMWP General settings page.

Hello Suman, the problem is that I can’t access the network admin dashboard. Since I can access it how then can I set whatever you are referring to in the settings?

The URL http://12blog.org/wp-login.php?hide_my_wp=1234 is for a single wordpress install. My website is a multisite install. When I activate the HMWP, I can no longer access the network admin area which makes it impossible for me to do any settings. I am already tired of trying to make it work. If you have any help for multisite I will appreciate it. If however, you can help, then it’s better I forget the plugin.

    Thanks for your help.

Okay, so what’s your wordpress multisite website URL?

My multisite network admin URL is http://12blog.org/wp-admin/network.

This is the URL that gives a 404 error when the HMWP is activated.

Once you have logged into wp-admin (http://12blog.org/wp-login.php?hide_my_wp=1234) with network admin’s credential you should be able to access http://12blog.org/wp-admin/network/ as well.
