    Hi

I uses event manager plugin, and whenever I create a new blog post or new event, I will get a 404 page not found error. However creating new page is fine.

Do you have any idea why this happen?

Also I am not sure if this is related, but I get a PHP warning also:

PHP Warning: preg_match(): Compilation failed: nothing to repeat at offset 1 in /home/vsk/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp.php on line 231
PHP Warning: preg_match(): Compilation failed: nothing to repeat at offset 1 in /home/vsk/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp.php on line 232

The version of WordPress I am using is 4.6

    Thanks

Hi, have you tried deactivating HMWP plugin? Also you can try deactivating the plugins one at a time to find out which one is causing the issue.

Hi, yes, deactivating HMWP seem to resolve the issue. So I think maybe there is a bug or conflict. I have not deactivate plugins one by one yet.

Can you please let us know your website’s wp-admin login details (as private message), so that we can look into the issue further.

I checked the issue and fixed it for you. The issue isn’t related to HMWP, and is permalinks related issue (usually happens if you import WP database). I went to permalinks settings page (http://mihcreative.com.au/pba/wp-admin/options-permalink.php) and clicked on “save changes” button.

You can delete the post http://mihcreative.com.au/pba/test-title/ which I created for testing purpose.

    Hi
Sorry to be a pain, but can you elaborate a bit on how the imported database cause the issue?

Also, after a new post or event is created, it works if I go to the permalinks settings and press the save change button. However, if I create another new post or event again, the 404 error re-emerges and I need to go to permalink seting and save changes again… But I can’t really expect the client to do this every single time…

Is there something I should do to the database to fix this?

    Thanks
