Hello, i have a site in wordpress with hide my hp.
The site is constantly going down.
I’ve been testing and trying to understand what is happening.
Is the .htaccess causing Internal Server Error 500.
The file is changed automatically without me doing anything.
The file from the beginning appears a blank lines and it causing error 500 and site going down.
I’m not sure if this can be caused by the hide my wp plugin.
You can help me?
If i delete the file htaccess reappears a new file and the site is running a few more hours. The file have this lines:

please try replacing htaccess file with WP default htaccess (https://codex.wordpress.org/htaccess)
If still doesn’t work, use default htaccess and rename hide_my_wp plugin directory name in /wp-content/themes/
If you’re still having the issue, then please let us know your website’s wp-admin login details as Private Reply so that we can look into the issue further.

1) replace htaccess with default WP htaccess
2) login to wp-admin
3) goto HMWP settings page and click “reset settings to wp” button
4) apply “medium privacy more compatibility” settings
5) if everything works fine, the you can change the WP path names to what you want in HMWP settings. You’ll need to repeat step 1 after each request
