    Warning: require(lib/plugin-updates/plugin-update-checker.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /homepages/40/d591542698/htdocs/{redacted}/www/wp-content/plugins/hide_my_wp/hide-my-wp.php on line 180

    Fatal error: require(): Failed opening required ‘lib/plugin-updates/plugin-update-checker.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php5.5′) in /homepages/40/d591542698/htdocs/{redacted}/www/wp-content/plugins/hide_my_wp/hide-my-wp.php on line 180

    Could not reset WP settings in plug-in.

    I tried manually removing HMWP plug-in and reinstalling to ensure original settings were in place. Still get a fatal error for the same issue above.

    Hi, which version of HMWP you are using? It seems like some files are missing in HMWP plugin. Please try this
    – deactivate and delete “hide_my_wp” plugin
    – downloading a fresh copy of HMWP and then manually upload it (folder “hide_my_wp” and it’s content) to your site’s /wp-content/plugins/ directory using FTP.

    I ensured it was deleted and removed. I then uploaded installation zip and reinstalled. All seems to be working properly again.
