hey i have a problem with my theme, it uses font awesone and if i try to rename this url wp-content/themes/vantage/fontawesome/css/font-awesome.css?ver=4.2.0 then it breaks all of the font awesome fonts in use, not being able to rename this one link makes the whole plugin useless as it shows the theme and the wp-content folder etc giving away that im using wordpress, i can rename the folders in Permalinks & URLs which works fine and doesn’t break font awesome but if i do this then i cannot use Replace URLs because the new urls that hide my wp outputs will not change doing it this way.
November 8, 2015 at 2:06 pm #5651Hi, what replacement did you add in HMWP for the above mentioned font awesome URL?
You can follow these steps:
– apply “medium privacy” settings in HMWP start tab
– add the following replacement in “replace urls” fieldwp-content/themes/vantage/fontawesome/css/font-awesome.css ==> myfont.css
November 8, 2015 at 8:39 pm #5662TY for your response
That is the problem! i have done exactly that and the output is shown in html as mywebsite.com/myfont.css as i want it to, but it then breaks all the fonts and stops them loading within the website when doing this.I cannot at this time give you access to the website in question as i don’t give out admin access on any of my websites, but i would appreciate you looking into this issue as the problem changing urls only seems to be with changing font awesome url as stated above.
The theme i use is called vantage premium by siteorigin also you can download the free version to check it out yourself. after installing the theme i suggest using the vantage social media widget and you will see the icons fonts do not load after changing the url, this happens with all font awesome fonts not just the vantage social media icons, but this is the best way you can check for yourself.

November 9, 2015 at 4:56 am #5670Without the login details it’ll be very difficult to trace the issue. We are not having such issue in our test sites. Can you please send us your site’s page source with font awesome url that’s not working.
November 11, 2015 at 8:31 pm #5742Hey it definately breaks font awesome if i remane it, i have tried it again on a new install, I really dont mean to sound rude and your help is appreciated but i am not willing to give anyone admin access to any of my websites. ever!
I am not a novice website designer! I also run servers and do alot of linux server security etc, i will never give out admin credentials i hope you understand this 🙂
I am asking for help off you because i did not design the plugin, you guys did 🙂
If after you test this for yourself with the same theme and it works for you guys then at least i know its a problem at my end and i can then troubleshoot the issue myself and try to rectify it.
Did you actually install the vantage theme and follow the steps to test this out yourself? It would only take 5 mins to look into this and test it out yourself quickly, then you could see the problem described for yourself.
I gave you the steps to replicate it above and you should easily be able to do so.
No offence but giving you guys access is kinda besides the point of why we use the plugin in the first place, if we want to hide what plugins etc we are using then why would we let people in to browse around it? 🙂
BtW i forgot o mention other than this issue your plugin has to be one of the best ive ever used!

yes i see it works fine at that link but can i ask you to please test one more thing as i think you are misunderstanding what i am telling you.
Now you have installed this theme for testing could you please install this plugin WP Original Media Path from the wordpress repository then activate it.
Once activated go to the plugin settings and change the Store uploads in this folder from wp-content/uploads to just uploads this will move your uploads folder outside of wp-content folder, also make sure to change the Full URL path to files settings from hxxp://ought2have.com/wp2/wp-content/uploads to hxxp://ought2have.com/wp2/uploads then save.
Now go to view the website and you see font awesome icons will break! whilst everything else will work fine.
Also i have a few other problems i need help with too that i have noticed with hmwp i will mention below:
I need to be able to rename div classes that show in my html output that give away what plugins that i am using, for example i use the shortcodes ultimate plugin and in my html it outputs this code </p><div class=”su-accordion”><div class=”su-spoiler su-spoiler-style-fancy su-spoiler-icon-plus su-spoiler-closed”><div class=”su-spoiler-title”><span class=”su-spoiler-icon”>
As you can see from the above code shortcode ultimate adds su in the class, this is easy for anyone to find out i am using shortcode ultimate plugin, If i try to rename the su with hide my wordpress the shortcode ultimate breaks, this also happens on a few other plugins that i use and without being able to rename the classes of these plugins people viewing the html can easily find out what plugins are used, we need to be able to rename or hide these div classes from html without breaking things!
You can also replicate this by adding the shortcodes ultimate plugin and testing with the accordion shortcode in a post to replicate the code above.
please reply as i am ready to launch my website but cannot whilst these problems exist. thx

November 16, 2015 at 4:46 pm #5875I have just read some previous posts where you have advised others not to rename plugin classes in-case it breaks some styling, so this seems to be the problem i am having, but now i am going to ask you one very IMPORTANT question! If renaming plugin classes with hide my wordpress breaks the plugins then how can hide my wordpress really be hiding wordpress?
I ask this because if we can hide everything wordpress related and disguise plugin folder names etc then what is the point of doing so if the plugin classes give this information out freely? THIS MAKES NO SENSE AT ALL!!!! Your plugin specifically states that ….
no-one can know you use wordpress!
This statement is now invalid because if people can find out what plugins you are using via class names then the whole plugin becomes null and void of all its claims! This is a fact.
Do you realize your only main competitor Swift Security already has the feature of being able to rename plugin class names as standard!?>

November 17, 2015 at 7:17 am #5892Hi, you can rename the plugin/theme class names in the page source but then you’ll also have to make respective changes in the plugin’s/theme’s stylesheet file as well (manually) so that the class name is same in both the cases.
November 17, 2015 at 10:03 am #5898Yes i do realise this but this is not good for functionality when it comes to updates, hide my wordpress should be able to do this as standard like swift security can, basically you are pushing this on the end user whilst still claiming your plugin can infact hide everything! i will state yet again that you guys are the ones who claim that you can solve this problem with this advertisement….no-one must know you use wordpress…when in reality people can still know you are using wordpress because of the lack of this functionality in your plugin.
I can see by your last answer that you want to totally avoid the questions i posed to you because you know damn well that i am right!
If swift security have managed to solve this problem then why can’t you guys?
You cannot expect users of your plugin who want to fully cover all traces of using wordpress by purchasing your plugin to then have to go into plugin stylesheets everytime a plugin gets an upgrade and change all of the class names manually.
This is basically like you guys are saying that you don’t know how to combat this issue and it makes your plugin void of all claims that it can hide wordpress fully from the source code.
Also judging by the sales of your plugin compared to that of swift security you could at least set about work on resolving this issue and adding this functionality, you have earned at least $301.875.00 (well over the quarter of a million dollars mark) in sales for this plugin according to mathematics based on your current sales figures, so you cannot disagree that this should be a full time project for you guys and things should be fixed worked on and updated frequently.
Look guys please don’t take offence to me be blatantly honest with you as i have stated before i think your plugin is amazing for what it actually does, i would just like some answers if at all possible and if you will be working on implementing this as a fix for a future version of HMWP. Because as far as i am concerned you really do have my full support in your plugins progression and i do want to see it progress with new features, hope you understand and please don’t take offence.

November 17, 2015 at 10:37 am #5907p.s I would love to see HMWP implement this functionality if at all possible because it would make your plugin complete, if it did have this functionality i would also be willing to purchase a few other copies of Hide my wordpress in the future for my other websites.
November 18, 2015 at 5:46 am #5926Yes, definitely, we’re improving and adding more features with every release of the plugin and we might add this feature in the upcoming versions of the plugin. Thanks for the suggestion.
