    Hi.

    At first, our WordPress post base was cahnged to [topic] with Hide My WordPress. We recently changed it back to [category] and since then no one could access any category archvice or page… It just give 404 error. We have flushed all caches and resaved permanent links and everything, but still getting 404 error when trying to access category archive page. Any advice?

    Hi, the term “category” is already used by wordpress for categories. please try deleting post base in HMWP settings, or change it to something else. Also it’s not recommended to change post base frequently as it might have effect on seo.

    Hi, please let us know your website’s wp-admin login details (as private reply), so that we can have a look at the issue.
    Also let us know the URL for category archive page.

    Hi. Which table of the database has Hide My WordPress postbase? After switching back to “catgory” from “topic” which we set before or when we started using Hide My WordPress, we can’t even access posts anymore. I’m thinking maybe we have to go into the database and change it back.

    Hi, I could see that HMWP plugin is deactivated in your site. So this doesn’t look like issue related to HMWP. Please go through the suggestions mentioned here –
