The site I’m working on is hosted on Kinsta, so must use the Nginx Configuration. I send the Kinsta support team the “Medium Privacy – More Compatibility (Recommended)” code to add in the Nginx config file, and that seems to work all right. But any attempt to tweak the settings to hide the theme and plugins from whatwpthemeisthat.com immediately breaks the site.
I’m not sure if it’s a particular setting that causes the problem, but deactivating your plugin is the only solution to getting the site back up and running, which defeats the purpose of buying it in the first place. Here’s what you wrote earlier:
Hi, you’ll also need to enable other options.
Set “rename plugins” option to ‘all plugins’ in Permalinks and URLs tab.
Enable Auto Configuration option in replace tools tab.
Enable Full hide option in general settings tab.
After making these changes, you’ll again need to update HMWP rules in Nginx config file and restart Nginx.
Are you able to help me install it so that it works properly? My web host supports staging sites as a testing ground in order to prevent errors occurring on ‘live’ website. WOuld that be useful?
