Hi wpWave Support Team,
I’d be grateful, if you could help me to resolve a rather strange “401 Authorization Required” issue.
Yesterday I activated your plugin “Hide My WP” for the first time on a password protected DemoSite of mine, which is hosted on WPEngine (note: password protected transferrable install). Actually I left all settings on “default” except “Permalinks & URLs > New theme path (which was changed from “/skin” to “/newpath”). First everything seemed to look fine as long as I was logged in as WP Admin. But when I tried to get acces to my DemoSite from another browser, I was faced with the above mentioned “401 Authorization Required” error although I did enter the correct credentials.
WPE support suggested me to test the access in an “incognito window”. For some reason that worked fine, I could access my DemoSite by using the same credentials and everything was shown as expected.
This morning I’ve run in an additional problem. I couldn’t even get access to my WP Admin (http://mydemosite.wpengine.com/wp-admin). Again I was shown the same error message “401 Authorization Required”.
WPE support could replicate the reported issue and was so kind to investigate a few possible causes. Finally they only could fix the problem by deactivating “Hide My WP”.As I’m totally new to your plugin, I might have committed some error. Please could you let me have your recommendations and step-by-step instructions? Thanks in advance for your efforts!
Best regards,

Can please let us know your website’s wp-admin login details (as private reply), so that we can look into the issue further. Also, are you not able to login with a specific user or all the users?
