    Hi,
    I just installed the plugin.
    I choose the medium privacy option, and wanted to keep my original adress login but I think I unselected “hide wp-login.php” and choose to hide wp-admin.
    I’ve tried to use this : wp-login.php?hide_my_wp=1234 , behind my adress but it doesn’t work.
    Please help !!

    One more thing I don’t understand, is that I received emails warning me someone’s mousing (obviously, it’s me!), and the login adress in the email is my original one but when I try to connect, it doesn’t work anymore.

    Hi, are you sure you didn’t chane the default secret “hide_my_wp=1234” in HMWP backend?
    You can rename HMWP plugin in /wp-content/plugins/ and try logging in. After login rename back HMWP plugin, and see your settings there in backend. You can also try “reset settings to WP” and then start fresh.

    Thank you for your help, I renamed HMWP and renamed it back.
    It’s weird cause I didn’t go in the backend.

    Hi,
    Yes I’m still having issue.
    I think the problem comes from the plugin ithemes security I already have. It made me change my login adress in order not to have the wordpress default adress.
    So I think that’s why when I tried again to use HMWP it didn’t work. I couldn’t access the admin account again. But what I don’t understand is that I didn’t choose to hide my login and admin this time, and by default, when I saved settings, HMWP selected those options anyway. But I don’t want to change my login adress again ! Is it possible to use HMWP without changing the login adress ?

    Yes, you can use HMWP without changing login address. Goto HMWP “general settings” tab and do following:
    – Unckeck “Hide Login Page” option
    – Unckeck “Hide Admin” option

    Ok, I don’t know what happened, but it’s working again.
    I think I’ll delete the plugin cause it’s too complicated for me 🙁
