August 16, 2014 at 9:02 pm #1101Dear Support Team After I installed “hide my wp”, I was not able to log in as admin. The login page I have achieved under the new URL, but I could not login successfully. After entering the admin name and password nothing happened. Also, no error message is displayed. To regain access, I renamed the plugins folder via FTP (as recommended in the FAQ’s).
Also, I have deleted the new entries in the htaccess. But I still could not log in anymore. Now when I enter my login, no error message appears again. But after clicking on the button “Login”, the URL changes from …

For sure the best would be of course to get “Hide My Wp” running.best regards from germany

You don’t follow the guide for New admin path. carefully. I enabled it for you, but I think you don’t really need it because you have only one user (yourself!). I suggest to disable it but don’t forget to remove wp-config value after disabling this feature, otherwise you couldn’t login again! If you want to disable HMWP, you should delete that line in wp-config, too! August 17, 2014 at 11:05 am #1112Hello Hassan Thank you so much for your help. Works great. One more question about your recommendation to deactivate new admin path:
Do I only have to disable the flag “Hide Admin” in admin panel and then remove the line “define (“ADMIN_COOKIE_PATH”, “/ newpath”);” from wp-config? Or is there something else to do?What I have noticed: Currently the “wp-admin” page is still visible. It’s redirected to the new wp-login-page-path. Have I misunderstood or should the page currently not also redirected to a 404? Please excuse the questions. I just want to make sure that I have understood everything correctly and not causing again larger support effort. best regards
SandiAugust 17, 2014 at 12:04 pm #1113Hi- You can leave Hide Admin enabled. The problem caused by New Admin Path. You should remove it (or enter wp-admin) then save settings and remove that line from wp-config and next, click on ‘I did it’ from displayed message. It’s visible currently because you’re logged in, log out and try again!
