Good day. I’m writing this email regarding the Hide My WP plugin and
WordPress URL settings.
I had installed and activated the Hide My WP plugin in my WordPress
and I had faced some problems.
At first, I have set the New wp-admin path from /wp-admin to
/abc-admin, and New wp-login path from /wp-login to /login. I also
hide the wp-login.php and wp-admin file in the setting. I did the code
in wp-config.php file. Afterward, I test the URL by testing on /login,
/wp-login, /wp-admin, and /abc-admin. I only can access the login page
by the URL /wp-admin. I get back to the setting in the plugin and
change back the wp-config.php, I found that the New wp-admin path is
not changing at all (still default value).
So, I made a second change on the New wp-admin path to /abc-admin and
New wp-login path to /abc-admin too. I add the code given inside the
wp-config.php file and then testing. This time, /wp-admin and
/abc-admin both can access the login page. But after login, it shows a
maintenance page to me, the URL shows the /wp-admin. I can’t access
the dashboard.
I try the third time with /wp-admin to /abc-admin, and /wp-login to
/abc-login. I can log in only through /abc-login and it directs me to
the maintenance page with the url, /wp-admin.
