I have developed a custom page in my theme that uses an AJAX to call to a custom PHP page which connects to an API and returns certain info. However when running it returns a 404 not found but the data is returned successfully but with a 404 error. Would Hide My WP block this file from being executed using AJAX as I saw the below * ? Do the sensitivity of my client I cannot get the wordpress backend URLS but you can access the page and see the errors in the developer console when you load the page. A JavaScript alert box pops up indicating and error “Page not found”
* {“hmwp_can_deactivate”:{“expires”:”2020-05-19T09:15:02.000Z”,”httpOnly”:true,”value”:”PPcU”},”ILwNE”:{“expires”:”2020-05-19T11:15:02.000Z”,”value”:”1″}}

– empty out “Ajax URL”, “API Base” and “API Query” fields in HMWP Permalinks tabClear cache if you have any cache plugins. Let us know if it’s still the issue.

Whats wierd is that in the developer console it completely blocks the page so we get a 404 page not found error but an actual response (and the correct one) is returned successfully. I double checked the URL was right and it is as you can navigate to the URL (but its blank as we dont want any output to show unless an action is posted). Then to confirm I copied all the files and tried it on another website and it worked perfectly fine. We are running Wordfence so I thought that might cause an issue but I installed it on my other site and everything run 100%. I can run the AJAX calls no problem.
May 21, 2020 at 3:17 pm #30688Suman M.Post count: 12478So, it’s working in one website but not working in another site? Are both these sites clone of each other? If not clone, do these 2 websites have same theme and same plugins? In the site where it’s not working, did you check deactivating HMWP plugin? Let us know.
May 22, 2020 at 8:52 am #30702comealivePost count: 7Its not a clone as most of the plugins are paid plugins and they dont work as they licence has already been used and they cost a couple $100 dollars so its expensive to replicate. So I setup another site. I tried deactivating the plugin on the live site but still in the AJax request its includes “hmwp_can_deactivate: PPcU” so I dont think the plugin is fully deactivated.l I didn’t use the token to disable it, just disabled it in the plugins option. If I want to test Hide My WP on my site I will have to buy it as it wants a licence key before it works. Is there anyway I can test it without having to buy another licence?

It shall not be required to restore from the database. Can you please let us know your website’s login details so that we can look into the issue. Also let me know where can we check the above mentioned issue.
Thanks & Regards!
