I left the site admin logged in on my PC for the last few days. When I tried just now to navigate to another admin section I received the same error as before.
Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_redirect() in /homepages/40/d591542698/htdocs/TaprootWeb/www/wp-content/plugins/hide_my_wp/lib/mute-screamer/mute-screamer.php on line 54
November 15, 2015 at 5:16 am #5845Follow these steps then –
– apply “medium privacy” settings from HMWP start tab.
– give ready only permission to htaccess file.November 15, 2015 at 5:44 am #5848the last step, would that be under General Settings > Customized htaccess?
Or are you saying to literally change permissions on the htaccess file in the directory?
November 15, 2015 at 4:32 pm #5851To change permission of htaccess file via FTP or ControlPanel
November 27, 2015 at 6:26 pm #6171The error is back again once I reactivated hmwp. I uploaded the recently released update. Immediately the plugin gave a notice that it thought it may have broken the site
November 27, 2015 at 6:29 pm #6172I renamed folder, deleted from inside WP, then deleted renamed folder from FTP.
I then re-uploaded from zip the new release and reactivated. I immediately receive this error.
HMWP guesses it broke your site. If it doesn’t ignore this messsage otherwise read this FAQ to solve the problem or revert settings to default.
bTW – 3 ‘s’ in word message in the error.
I did review the FAQ and it does not apply to my htaccess file. If i leave my site like this it will time out my login and that box will show the error in the mute file.
November 28, 2015 at 4:48 am #6174Hi,it might be that your site’s htaccess is not writeable when you applied HMWP settings. Make sure that htaccess is writeable before you apply HMWP settings & later you can make it read only.
November 29, 2015 at 4:30 am #6200I changed the file permissions on htaccess so that Group and Public permissions also had Write, which Owner already had. I then activated the plugin without the error. When I went to settings and applied Medium Compatible, I then had the error again. The permissions are not yet changed back to original settings.
November 29, 2015 at 7:17 am #6208Hi, please let us know your website’s wp-admin login details & FTP details (as private reply), so that we can have a look at the issue.

Let us know if there’s any other issue.
November 30, 2015 at 7:11 am #6233I just logged on and checked the settings of HMWP. I changed to the General tab and changed the Admin Login Key then saved changes. Immediately I get the error again.

December 1, 2015 at 4:43 am #6242Clicking on save settings button is giving the alert message, but it doesn’t necessarily mean that your site is broken. Please check the website and let us know if any issue there.
