First time user of HMWP so i have some questions

Greetings, i am testing out your plugin for the first time and it seems to be OK!, however there are a number of questions i have please because your documentation does not really go into detail to answer them, if you can answer each one i will be most appreciative.

1. Is it ok to run HMW with Itheme Security ? i notice some features overlap
2. In this test site i am getting the theme being detected still http://www.silviyaneri.com, if you go here you will see the site is being detected ??? http://www.wpthemedetector.com/
3. When i enter in the purchase code and click save, nothing really happens, what is suppose to happen when i enter and save the purchase code in the plugin ?
4. What is the antispam system ? can i run it inline with Akismet ?
5. There is quick minify/safe minify what is the difference ?
6. Compress css / simple/quick/safe/ what is the difference ?
7. Under Other Meta, if i choose does this have implications with SEO ?
8. With the replace tool how is this suppose to be used properly ? I tested it and found a string to replace with something else and it did change the source but it also broke the code, how is this suppose to work ?

I hope you can answer these questions for me as i would like to roll this out on many sites if i can get it working as expected on this website.

Hi, please find below the answers:

1) HMWP is compatible with ithemes security plugin. If there is similar feature in two or more plugins then you should enable that feature in only one of the plugins.

2) Please try adding following replacement in “replace urls” option under replace tools tab.
wp-content/themes/omnitheme/style.css ==> webstyle

3) You simply need to enter the purchase code and hit save settings button.

4) It filter outs the possible spams coming into your site (like via comments section). Yes, you can use it along with Akismet.

5) Minification is a complex task. Even best minifcation libraries may break some types of codes. In safe mode we try to consider all possible problem and avoid them as much as possible. Of course this means more process and slower operation while in quick mode speed is more important for us so we just try to keep it simple and quick.
What should you do? Try quick mode and check out your site (especially pages created by plugins) if everything works well ignore safe mode! Another idea is using safe mode along side a caching plugin.

6) Almost similar to above explanation

7) No, it does not.

3) Codecanyon randomly checks for the valid license key for the products it sells, and if not found it alerts you to enter valid license key, and your account might get suspended. So to use it legally you must enter the purchase code.

5) It shall be identical as only the process is little different

10) Yes, we do have ToDo list and keep working on it constantly to improve the plugin. But sorry, we cannot reveal our roadmap 🙂
