    I have WordPress 3.6.1.
I have many plugins installed but I have deactivated every plugin other than Hide My WP.
I am using the default theme (twentythirteen).
I activate Hide My WP and import medium/compatible settings.
I see the htaccess rules getting written as expected.
    The alternate URLs work.
But the source of all pages is completely unchanged – all the standard URLs are still being used.

    What is wrong?

    Hello

    That’s because you use v2.1!

As you may read in the forum there is a little problem that stop this version from working.

Simply update plugin to v2.11 and it will work again 🙂

I looked for a download link but could not find one. How do I update to 2.11 ?

Go to your downloads page in CodeCanyon account and download it. It’s free!

To update there’s an answer in FAQ. It’s easy just deactivate and delete old version and install new version. You can also use Import/Export settings if you want.

    Thank you – that worked.
In general will updates always be downloaded in this way? Is there any way to be notified of new updates?

    Glad to hear it.

Yes, this works for all updates.

CodeCanyon usually sends update notification to buyers.
