I can't login or access back end of site

I followed these instructions: When you hide wp-login.php you should add your admin key to login address:
e.g. your-wp-path.com/wp-login.php?hide_my_wp=1234 (default key is ‘1234’)

But I still cannot access the back end- it gives me a 404 error. I don’t recall changing the admin key and assume it is still 1234. How can I get back into the site?

Hi, please try the following:
– rename “hide_my_wp” plugin folder name under /wp-content/plugins/ directory
– login to wp-admin
– rename back “hide_my_wp” plugin to it’s original name
– activate HMWP plugin
– goto HMWP general settings tab and check the login secret key

If it’s still the issue then please let us know your website’s wp-admin login details (as private reply), so that we can have a look at the issue.
