Hi!
While installing the plugin, I used “Light Privecy – Most Compatibility” scheme. Then I enabled few more options (not stared options) out of which the most notable is the option of renaming the plugins. I am using it on a multisite.
Question 1: Plugin names are still seen in sourse code of the site. What can be the problem and how to solve it? [I have emptied the catche several times, but it does not change.]
Question 2: The plugin has just broak up my entire site. I know this question has been covered in FAQs, but I have checked that and it couldn’t solve my issue. What to do for it?
Thanks!

I’ve deactivated Hide My WP plugin for the time being to bring back my site. Please advise how should we coordinate to solve the issue?
Thanks!

Thanks Suman for installing the plugin for me but, I’m afraid, it’s not working. All of the pages of my website which I can access through the menu, except the home page, is giving 404 error. Even worse, I’m unable to login into my website. I can access the login page through the modified link but after login with admin credentials, I’m again being send to a 404 page instead of the dashboard.
Please help.
Thanks!September 29, 2016 at 9:59 am #11933My site has become a mess of 404 pages and I’m locked out of it. Please help on priority.
Thanks!

You are right that you got working pages and not 404 pages because you were logged in. Visiters who are not logged in just get 404_Not_Found pages – MOSTLY. I’m saying mostly because plugin is behaving strangely. Even not logged in visiters do get working pages sometimes but mostly they are geting 404. Intrestingly, as a visiter I got a page working and after sometimes when I visited the page again, it was 404. You can check how many 404 pages I got just visiting the Intruisions logged by your plugin.
I was able to log in using crome brouser. I enabled the option of renaming the plugins again because it’s the feature which was the main reason why I bought this plugin. But, I’m getting all the plugin names in source code of pages. And there is not any indication how this plugin is making it hard to know which CMS website is on (leave behind the question of hiding wordpress completely).
So what I’m going to get with this plugin? Unfortunately, all we are trying is to prevent this plugin from breaking my site. Have we forgot the purpose of the plugin? Is its main purpose to get installed without causing problems (works or not)?
(See! I’m getting little bit frustrated now.)Note: Is your reply just above this post is private? I can not see any indication to confirm that.
Regards!

It’s really embarrassing and bewildering. I checked it on my mobile phone and really didn’t get any 404 page. No matter what was the reason earlier, it has now made me hopeful. If plugin starts renaming the plugins in source code, it will become useful for me. And now I hope you will do it. 🙂Thanks!

Yes it now renames plugins in source code. Thanks for making this happen. However, few plugins like “woocommerce wishlist” and “buddypress notifications widget” still remain there without renaming. Can something be done to assure that all plugins are renamed?
Also, css classes are often clear indication of the plugin. What can I do for them? Can I rename any particular WORD using Replace Tools of the plugin? For example, can I rename “bbpress”” word as, say, xyz and then it appears as xyz no matter where we look (like in css class)?
I know such questions are “Try and See Yourself” type and normally I wouldn’t have asked. But with this plugin I fear of breaking up my site. 😉
Thanks!
