Login page not found

I cloned my website and installed on a subdomain to test this plugin.

When I change the login URL to /login, save the setting, and try to login – the result I get is 404, not found.

The Login Query and Admin Login Key is working. The problem occurs once I click login.

When I ‘Reset Default Admin Path”, I get the warning to:

“Open wp-config.php using FTP and DELETE or comment (//) line which starts with following code:
define(“ADMIN_COOKIE_PATH”, “…

However, there is no such line in my wp-config.php Do I have a permissions issue?:

I see that I read the instructions wrong. I tried adding the line
define(“ADMIN_COOKIE_PATH”, “/wpsite/my-admin”);

Still nothing

Hi, it seems like you are only trying to change the login path and not wp-admin name. In that case you don’t need to add “define(“ADMIN_COOKIE_PATH”, “/wpsite/my-admin”);” in wp-config.php.

If you are not able to login then first rename hide_my_wp plugin folder name in /wp-content/plugins/ directory via FTP or Hosting Control Panel. Then login normally, and once logged in rename back hide_my_wp plugin folder name. Then go to HMWP settings page (permalinks & urls tab) and try removing “/” from “/login”.

If it’s still the issue then please let us know your sites’s wp-admin login details and FTP details as private reply so that we can look further into it.
