    Hello,

I want to manually remove all changes made by “Hide My WP” plugin in wordpress.
I deactivated the plugin and removed it from the ‘plugins folder’ in ftp directory. What else I have to change to restore wordpress to a clean state, without keeping any changes that hidemywp possible may have made? (changed adress wp-login.php to something else for example)
I want to do a fresh hidemywp install after updating wordpress from quite old to the latest version.

Hi, thanks for contacting us. Deactivating and deleting HMWP plugin shall be enough. Do you also wish to delete all traces of HMWP from the database? Let us know!

Thank you for the answer, but I’ve never run SQL before, is there a easy step-by-step guide? The ones I found on the web look difficult for a beginner like me, I’m afraid to break something. I thought I could just delete a couple of lines from the .htaccess file. like with other similar plugins.

No worries. It’s not compulsory to run the query. As mentioned above, deactivating and deleting HMWP plugin shall be enough.

Let us know if any issue.

    Regards!
