hi.
i am using hmwp version 5.5.1
and wordpress & buddypress (latest version).1 ) i just activated the plugin on my test site, entered my purchase code.
from Setting > Hide My WP > Start > Import options > – Select Scheme –
i selected the High Privacy – Less Compatibility
and hit save settings.2 ) after that i went to HMWP > Permalinks & URL > new wp-admin path*
i changed it to panel. and i followed the instuction afterward very carefully.
i also set my .htaccess to 777 (double checked to see if the setting was there? and they were)
and i changed the wp-config as explained.now the problem is here :
if i write example.com/panel , i will see a 404!
if i write example.com/wp-admin , it will redirect me to /panel !now this is strange a little. because in the > General Settings >
Canonical Redirect > Disable canonical redirect. This is require when you want to use URL queries.
is checked.A – so i should not get a redirection from /wp-admin to /panel
B – i should not see a 404 when i’m trying to reach /panel
C – now , i cannot update anything! or change anything( settings, posts )
because they have the new address
like :
example.com/panel/edit.php (you will see 404)
and i have to replace panel with wp-admin every single time
example.com/wp-admin/edit.php ==> (inspite of the fact that canonical is disabled!) get redirection to ==> example.com/panel/edit.php
and after redirection i can see the screenand if i want to update, or move from that page? i have to do it all again.
D – i cannot update any of my setting because of /panel ==> 404 issue
E – i cannot update HMWP setting anymore! when i hit save changes
in a normal situation the page will reload and said changes are saved or done!
but now, i see a 404 because of /panel . and when i replace panel with /wp-admin and hit enter
it will take me to example.com/panel/options.phpExtra Information :
my functions.php is empty
my cache is clearedhow can i correct this ? (not disable the /panel)!
i mean correct it not to see a 404thanks a lot for help.

Let us know if the issue arises again.
Regarding the “replace tools”, the replacements that you have added in “replace in html” and “replace urls” options both are not correct. It’s not recommended to replace css class names and script variables as it might break the website.
Please check this FAQ for more info regarding the replacements – https://codecanyon.net/item/hide-my-wp-amazing-security-plugin-for-wordpress/4177158/faqs/20827
NOTE: you’ll need to check the site’s page source in logged out state.

If a user logins and has access to WP backend then wordpress won’t/can’t be hidden in such case.
The replacement that you have added in “replacement in html” for wangguard-bp.css is not correct. This will completely remove the css and hence the corresponding plugin will not work well. Please use “replace urls” option for the URLs.
And can you please let us know what exactly is not being hidden in the site’s page source?
Also let us know your website’s wp-admin login details (as private reply), so that we can add the replacements for you.

But nothing is being replaced at all! I’ve assigned this ticket to sr. support so that he can look further into it.

But in your website it doesn’t seems to be working. The sr. support will get back to you regarding the issue.
