Replace tool masking issue

Hi, i just bought your plugin.
before purchasing it i have also asked if my issue could be fixed with the help of your plugin and you answered: “Hi, with HMWP you can mask WP default paths like http://www.mysite.it/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/filename to something like http://www.mysite.it/mask/2015/11/filename, but still the original location will also be valid as HMWP does not physically change the default paths.”

so i buyed it.

in the replace tools i have changed
http://www.xxx.it/wp-content/originalname/test.kml in http://www.xxx.it/wp-content/maskedname/test.kml
but now i cant be able to see the track anymore (

how to send to you private access?

Hi, please click on “reset setting to wp” button in HMWP settings page, and follow these steps:
– in HMWP start tab, apply “medium privacy more compatibility” settings and save settings
– in HMWP permalinks & urls tab, set “rename plugins” option to all plugins and save settings

If you are still having issue then please let us know your site’s wp-admin login details as private reply by enabling “Set as private reply” option at bottom.

The replacement that you have added is not correct. Please delete the current one and add this:

wp-content/monteriggioni/ROMAGNABIKETRAIL2016.kml ==> ROMAGNABIKETRAIL2016.kml

What if HMWP is not active? Is that file “ROMAGNABIKETRAIL2016.kml” not downloadable then?

HMWP does not block any availabe paths. It only masks the paths so that wordpress and theme are not detected.
For example, with hmwp if you mask the path /wp-content/plugins/XYZ/abc.pdf to /ext/ag64jk/abc.pdf, still both the urls will be valid.

Hi Suman,
Ok, that’s clear, i dont want block paths.
i thought that if i change /wp-content/uploads/abc.pdf to /wp-content/uploads/XYZ/abc.pdf will bring me to a dead end because that path doesnt exist instead, it redirects me to right file…
how to do it?

I’m not getting what exactly you are trying to achieve.
If you replace wp-content/monteriggioni/ROMAGNABIKETRAIL2016.kml with ROMAGNABIKETRAIL2016.kml, then both http://www.yoursite.com/wp-content/monteriggioni/ROMAGNABIKETRAIL2016.kml and http://www.yoursite.com/ROMAGNABIKETRAIL2016.kml will be accessible.

I got what you want to achieve, but unfortunately HMWP doesn’t have such feature to block particular URL.
