Stuck in login redirect loop after HMWP deactivation

Hey guys,

I deactivated HMWP in the process of checking for plugin conflicts on the front end. I was immediately logged out. When I try to log back in I get stuck in a redirect loop.

The password is correct, I just keep getting reverted to the log in page and can’t reach the admin dashboard.

I believe this is something to do with HMWP being deactivated but usually having a specific login URL that can no longer be used. So the redirect is occurring with the normal ‘login.php’ extension, and the HMWP one no longer directs to the login page.

I have tried everything possible to resolve this, but can’t get back in.

Hi, did you rename wp-admin path? If so then you’ll also need to comment out the line that you added in wp-config.php file.
If it’s still the issue the please let us know your website’s wp-admin login details & FTP details (as private reply), so that we can have a look at the issue further.

Ah that’s what it was! After all that it was just a line at the bottom of my wp-config!
