    Greetings Suman:

TOPIC: Use of MarsEdit v4.x (latest) to Post to my HMWP protected site.

I went to have MarsEdit automatically configure to connect so that I can post my writings to my Blog (www.findingyourdot.com) and it is not allowing it to connect.

I have added the best error code I can get on this… and wondered how this will work with MarsEdit and what I should be using for information from the site to allow the access.

    Thank you again!

    Hi, please do these:

    – disable “Anti Spam” option in HMWP Hiding tab
    – disable “Directory List” option in Hiding tab
    – disable “Hide PHP Files” option in Hiding tab
    – empty out “Ajax URL” field in Permalinks tab
    – empty out “API Base” and “API Query” fields in Permalinks tab
    – if it’s still the issue then try disabling IDS option in Protection tab

    Let us know!

    Greetings Suman:

Sir, I did all that you suggested and tested the configurations with these recommendations:

disable “Anti Spam” option in HMWP Hiding tab
    – disable “Directory List” option in Hiding tab
    – disable “Hide PHP Files” option in Hiding tab
    – empty out “Ajax URL” field in Permalinks tab
    – empty out “API Base” and “API Query” fields in Permalinks tab

This did not work, so I went ahead and also did this:
    – if it’s still the issue then try disabling IDS option in Protection tab

    None of these worked.

So to make sure I was doing and using MarsEdit correctly – as I have had it for years – I ensured I bought the latest version and I tested with it. Plus, I then setup MarsEdit on another WordPress site that I have that is not using your solution.

So I am not sure what else to do at this time.

I am wondering if I will have to not use MarsEdit – which is not ideal – unless you know another Mac solution that I can use that works with your product.

    Thank you, sir!

    John

Hi, can you please let us know the exact steps to regenerate the issue? Screenshots will be helpful.
Also let us know your site’s backend login details as private reply. Thanks!
