    Hello Suman,

    I am having a serious issue – my website completely broke down.

    I have received this error:
    “HMWP guesses it broke your site. If it doesn’t ignore this messsage otherwise read this FAQ to solve the problem or revert settings to default.”

    So I reviewed http://codecanyon.net/item/hide-my-wp-no-one-can-know-you-use-wordpress/4177158/faqs/18136 followed instructions and edited back to one WP Block.

    My website is still completely broken though, and I cannot access the home page.

    I was connecting to wrong FTP (from another ticket of yours). Now I have connected to correct one. I tried changing the permission of .htaccess file to 644 and then applied HMWP settings. I see that HMWP rules are correctly written in htaccess file, but when I try to access the site then all the content of htaccess is set to default and file permission changes back to 444 (not writable). Do you know why this is happening? Can you please check with your hosting provider?

    Hi Suman,

    Can you please answer my previous questions:
    1) Do you think the site has been infected with something that resets all the files to ‘444’ permissions?
    2) Should I also install the Sucuri Security plugin to try to get rid of the intrusion?
    3) I would like to install Wordfence because it has some features that your plugin does not have. Is it compatible with HMWP and can I install it without my website breaking again?

    I have tried ‘medium privacy more compatibility” scheme and the website is still broken. Can you please help?
