Hi,
First, I’m using this plugin for a while and it works really great, so good job !
I had to remake my webiste from scratch, so I’m here with a fresh new Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS + LAMP + WP 4.0 (fr) + HMWP 3.0 (and now 3.99 beta).
The only thing I can’t hide in the code, whatever the theme I used, is the theme path, and so ‘wp-content’ still appears too, even with ‘Replace in HTML’ function.
I try with those themes :
Sniper
Adventurous
Twenty FourteenWhen I change the ‘New theme path’ or add ‘wp-content’ in ‘Replace in HTML’ the site became a “text mode site”.
Any idea ?
November 6, 2014 at 6:55 pm #1367Hi,
Happy to see you back into business man.
So I try with the v4.0 and here is what I can say about it :
– check for updates from 3.99 didn’t mention a new version is available, I had to update manually
– when I activate the “New theme path = /template” function, the site is broken and HMWP tell it directly with “Your site has been broken! This means there’s a problem with your server Just please click “Reset Settings” to revert everything back and then read this FAQ to solve the problem.” message
– I check the FAQ link, .htaccess if fine, I deleted it and leave HMWP make a new one with the same effect as soon as I activate the “new theme path”
– If I don’t activate “new theme path” feature, everything works, but the code mention the wp-content/themes folder and so my WP is not hidden
– I use the EGO theme from (Hope you be able to solve it.
Regards.
DV

The problem is that mod_rewrite module has not been enabled for Apache! (or just disabled using htaccess!)
Even if I disable HMWP, WP permalinks don’t work!
If you configure it yourself just Google “enabled mod_rewrite for Apache”

November 12, 2014 at 11:57 am #1393I have follow this tuto : http://itx-technologies.com/blog/28-installer-et-activer-le-module-mod_rewrite-sur-apache-et-ubuntu
How to check if the mod_rewrite is really enable ?
Because after I have made the modification in the tuto, the “new theme path” problem is still there
November 12, 2014 at 2:50 pm #1394HassanPost count: 955No it’s not enabled yet!
Just check out a post link (go to edit view post). You need to restart Apache to see the result.

Yes, almost all of features in Permalink tab require to have mod_rewrite.
In case of third point, Yes, it displays an alert when WP permalink was disabled but when it was enabled but doesn’t work HMWP can’t find the problem.
If you search Stackoverflow you’ll find many questions related to it. For example this one:
