    Question: When you change the other files (wp-content, wp-includes, theme…) when will it take effect? One of my plugins sends an activation code to new subscribers and I noticed that it still shows the old path wp-content/plugins/[plugin name]

    So far so good. But I am concerned about changing the admin name again. Your instructions say to enter the code after REQUIRE_, but my config file does not have that line. This is what started the issue before.

    When I reinstalled the plugin (and I have about 3 times now), it reverts to the last known setting which essentially blocks me out of admin. I, of course, know how to get in to admin by simply changing the file name manually in the URL, but I cannot control the processes because it errors.

    I will try your suggested option now and let you know how it goes in 15-20 minutes.

    I cannot change anything because the custom admin path is not being recognized in the config file.
