After you sent back your response I deactivated HMWP, and for some reason when calling the images it threw me a generic 404. However, after going under the hood on the .htaccess file I removed all the HMWP coding everything came back fine. After reactivating HMWP and setting it up with medium privacy / more compatibility, setting up the 404 and IDS alerts. I checked the external image, and it comes back up. At the moment nothing is in the .htaccess for HMWP.
