Greetings Suman:
Sir, I did all that you suggested and tested the configurations with these recommendations:
disable “Anti Spam” option in HMWP Hiding tab
– disable “Directory List” option in Hiding tab
– disable “Hide PHP Files” option in Hiding tab
– empty out “Ajax URL” field in Permalinks tab
– empty out “API Base” and “API Query” fields in Permalinks tabThis did not work, so I went ahead and also did this:
– if it’s still the issue then try disabling IDS option in Protection tabNone of these worked.
So to make sure I was doing and using MarsEdit correctly – as I have had it for years – I ensured I bought the latest version and I tested with it. Plus, I then setup MarsEdit on another WordPress site that I have that is not using your solution.
So I am not sure what else to do at this time.
I am wondering if I will have to not use MarsEdit – which is not ideal – unless you know another Mac solution that I can use that works with your product.
Thank you, sir!
John

agilemonkPost count: 6Thank you, Suman. I guess sir the issue that bothers me most is that I have only had this tool on for less than a day and it’s gotten hundred plus hit against the site. This is far worse that the Akismet Spam tool that catches bad posts. I am just amazed and how bad this hits are and wonder why all of a sudden my site is being targeted so heavily.
Love to hear your thoughts.
Thank you sir.
John
agilemonkPost count: 6Ok – I figured out my Error and issue – it had to do with Secret Key and Salt Settings, which I have remediated.
So I guess my only question at this point is related to my 2nd image and how many intrusions I am getting going to xmlrpc.php?
