I had a similar issue in the past, and I got over it by doing some cleaning in my database. It turns out that you need to remove orphan dabatase records from uninstalled plugins once in a while to avoid such bugs. Search for “db optimize” at the plugins repository and let us know if it worked out for you.
This reply has been marked as private.Just found it on IDS Firewall > exception fields. hehe
Thank you anyways, can’t wait for the next update.
🙂
Any news concerning the update badge?
Thank you, bro. I tried deactivating and re-activating it before, but the badge returned when I imported all my settings.
Hello Suman,
After updating HMWP to 5.0, WordPress keeps telling me there’s still 1 pending plugin update, when in reallity there’s not.
Concerning the second issue, I’m not getting the real IP addresses from attackers, since I’m using CloudFlare and traffic passes through them first. All logged IPs are pointing to “AS13335 CloudFlare, Inc.“. As result, I’m unable to block the real source.
Thank you once again.

You must be logged in to view attached files.Update 2: Bro, I got the removal done by using a plugin, and right after the clean install, the IDS is now working flawlessly. Thank you very much for all your time and effort!
All the best!
Update: I can see the mentioned entries through: /wp-admin/options.php, but not directly from the database through Adminer.
I’ve tried that before as well, and there’s no refference to any row containing “hmwp” or “hide_my_wp“, except in active_plugins. Yup, that’s really strange. I was thinking about importing a some months old backup of my database, but this could mess the whole thing up, since a lot of things have changed since then.
Is there any other way we could circumvent this issue?
Thank you once again.
Hello Suman,
That’s the point, I already tried reinstalling the plugin as you suggested, but the missing table didn’t come back to the database. Last time I decided to not import settings to avoid bringing back some issue from the previous installation, but nothing changed.
Howdy Suman,
I’m using “Move Login” to change the login, register and lostpassword URL to something more stylish and not WordPress-related. “Theme My Login” is a good option, but kinda bloated for me.
Indeed, I forgot to untick the “Hide Admin” option before, but even afterwards I had no changes. I hit 404 pages, and I still don’t get any notification.
Off-topic: My “Source Code/Clean Up Other” is also getting unticked everytime since the prior HMWP version, and I can see a wpnonce on my logout URL. My “New Style Path” is setup already.
Thanks in advance.
Hello Suman,
My IDS log is been empty for a while even before I started using “Move Login”, and since the prior HMWP version too. So, before the plugin installation I used to get e-mail notifications, but attacks weren’t logged. Any clue?
Thank you, Suman. Switching to a more compatible mode did the trick. But I still can’t figure out what exactly is avoiding my main style sheet to get cached for more than 3 days, I’ve also disabled the “minify style” option, but it didn’t work. Hopefully resetting settings to default, and re-enabling them gradually will light things up.
Thank you once again, have a great weekend!
