Hi, first make sure you have latest version 4.03 of the plugin. Using FTP rename “hide_my_wp” plugin directory name. Now log in to admin section, rename back the plugin directory to “hide_my_wp”, and see what are your settings there. Let us know and we can then proceed further from here.
It’s usually located in /etc/nginx/nginx.conf or /etc/nginx/conf/nginx.conf. If not there, please ask your hosting provider for it’s location and how to edit it.
You should actually update your nginx configuration file. Follow these steps:
– select and save ‘medium privacy more compatibility’ settings scheme.
– goto http://test.doctorcare.com.tw/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=hide_my_wp&nginx_config=1
– You’ll then see a list of rules/lines in “Nginx configuration” box in Start tab.
– add these rules in your Nginx configuration file. It’s usually located in /etc/nginx/nginx.conf or /etc/nginx/conf/nginx.conf.For more detail refer to ‘Nginx configuration’ section in the documentation provided along with the plugin.
Hi, your site is working now but there seems to be some css issue. Please send us your site’s backend credentials as private message (http://factorysale.net/wp-login.php?hide_my_wp=1234) so that we can look into this further.
Follow these steps please:
– goto HMWP >> ‘Start’ Tab >> ‘Medium Pripacy – More Compatibility’ scheme >> click ‘Save Settings’
– in start tab click “IIS configuration” button. You’ll see a set or rules/lines.
– now update your site’s web.config file with these. For more info on updating web.config file, please refer to this http://help.globalscape.com/help/eft6-2/mergedProjects/SAT/editing_the_configuration_file.htmIt’s not Apache server, it is Nginx. Hence you need some manual configuration. Follow these steps:
– goto HMWP start tab click Nginx configuration button or else goto this URL http://test.doctorcare.com.tw/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=hide_my_wp&nginx_config=1
– add the rules shown in Nginx configuration box to your Nginx configuration file. It’s usually located in /etc/nginx/nginx.conf or /etc/nginx/conf/nginx.conf.
For more detail refer to ‘Nginx configuration’ section in the documentation provided along with the plugin.
It looks okay. Can you please provide us with your website backend details (as private message) so that we can have a look at the issue.
Hi, it seems like your site’s htaccess file isn’t writeable. Please give it write permission via FTP or CPanel and then save HMWP settings again.
I’ve again commented out line no. 105. I tried changing the permission of htaccess file to read only, but couldn’t. Please make it read only from cpanel before accessing your site’s admin section. Also what’s your wp-admin login URL?
Hi, please follow the steps as mentioned here – http://codecanyon.net/item/hide-my-wp-no-one-can-know-you-use-wordpress/4177158/faqs/16072
I’ve removed line no 105 now, and site’s working. Also remove the lines from HMWP’s “replace in HTML” and “Replace URLs” boxes before hitting save button.

Now can you please check what’s working and what’s not, and let us know.
Hi, can you please try disabling HMWP PHP IDS and see if the issue still exists?
