Yes, we’ll need to add HMWP rules in web.config file manually.
And how can i check whether the usernames are hidden please?

– disable “Anti Spam” option in HMWP General settings tab
– disable “Directory List” option in General settings tab
– disable “Hide PHP Files” option in General settings tab
– enter your name and email address in “Email sender name” and “Email sender address” fields in General settings tab
– if still the issue then try disabling “IDS” option in IDS Firewall tabDo let us know.

Hi, make sure that you also remove the following line from wp-config.php file?
define(“ADMIN_COOKIE_PATH”, “/NEW_WPADMIN_PATH_NAME”);
If it’s still the issue then please hard reset the plugin by manually deleting the rows with following “option_name” from “wp_options” table in your database. Please backup your database first.
– hide_my_wp
– hide_my_wp_undo
– hmwp_ids_installed
– hmw_all_plugins
– external_updates-hide_my_wp
– hmwp_spam_counter
– hmwp_temp_admin_pathLet us know!

Then clear the cache and check the site if it’s broken, and /wp-content is still visible or not. Do let us know.
