Hi, yes you can manually configure HMWP plugin. There is documentation here – http://support.wpwave.com/docs/hide-my-wp/. But it’s quite old and not updated. We are working on documentation which will be out with the next version of HMWP.
You can go to each tab of HMWP settings page, and start configuring it (most of the options are described there itself). If you have any queries you can ask us here.
Changing wp-admin path name is complex feature and there is video tutorial for it (the one you mentioned above).The “export current settings” if for exporting current HMWP settings, not WP settings. If you need to switch back to current WP settings then you can click on “restore settings to wp” button (at the bottom).

Your site’s htaccess file had duplicate WP rules – https://www.screencast.com/t/jH1iksaXOua
I removed the duplicate rules and it worked fine. Can you please check?Note: I’ve installed Wp htaccess editor plugin to edit htaccess content.
Hi, web.config is located at your site’s root folder. And you can see the steps to be followed after you click on “IIS configuration” button in HMWP start tab.
You’ll need to copy that particular line of CSS code, edit the image path and add the css code in “Internal CSS” field in HMWP Source Code tab.
For example:
.some_css_class { background-image:url(FULL_IMAGE_PATH) !important; }
Hi, it seems like you are using IIS server. So you’ll need to manually update IIS config file. Please follow these steps:
– activate HMWP plugin, and enter purchase code in Start tab.
– in HMWP start tab, select ‘Medium Privacy – More Compatibility’ scheme and save settings.
– in start tab click on “IIS configuration” button and follow guide to update web.config file. (web.config is located in WP root directory and you should use FTP (or hosting control panel) to update it. Note that you may need to update this file whenever you change settings or install a new plugin or theme)Hi, I tried to login using given credentials, but it’s not working!
Can you please generate debug report from HMWP start tab and post it here as private reply?
If you are using Apache server, then also post here your site’s .htaccess file content.Thanks!
