    You’re getting the same error as above? Please try this:
    – click “reset settings to wp” in HMWP start tab
    – deleting all the content of web.config file and then add default wordpress web.config content from here – https://snipt.net/batfan/default-wordpress-webconfig-file-with-permalinks/
    – now apply “medium privacy more compatibility” settings from HMWP start tab; save the settings; click on IIS configuration button and follow guide to update web.config file.

    Hi, this is not the pre-release of fixed version, it’s the current stable version only.
    I’m not sure what settings did you apply previously. Yes, you can stick to medium privacy settings.

    Hi, I deleted HMWP plugin and uploaded fresh copy of HMWP ver. 4.54, and I could navigate to any other link in wp-admin.

    I’ve also applied “medium privacy” settings from HMWP start tab.

    Hi, you should have backed up HMWP settings by clicking on “export current settings” button. Anyways, please follow these steps:

    – goto HMWP Start Tab, select “Medium Privacy – More Compatibility” scheme and save the settings
    – goto Permalink & URLs tab and set “rename plugins” option to “all plugins”

    Now you can proceed further from here and try renaming “wp-admin path” if required. Let us know if something specific is not working.

    Hi, we checked it and it seems like htaccess rules are not being followed. To investigate it further we’ll be needing FTP details.

    Also, we have added htaccess editor plugin to check the content of htaccess file. You may delete this plugin later.

    Hi, if you rename wp-admin path using HMWP, and then try to access http://whoissisi.com/wp-admin/, then it’s redirected to the url with secret code. This is a know issue and the fix will be available with next version of HMWP.
