2. what emails are you getting? Make sure you disable these options if you don’t want any emails:
– “Send an email to site admin whenever someone visits 404 page” (General settingas tab)

After re-activating HMWP plugin, you need to click on “undo previous settings” button in HMWP start tab to restore previous settings.
Let us know if the issue still exists when HMWP is active and settings applied.yes, these are the defaults in Exception Fields list.
Hi, you need to add requests to Exception Fields list only if the valid requests are blocked by HMWP IDS Firewall. You can check those from Dashboard >> Intrusions

I tried saving settings and now I can no more access wp-admin section. To fix this I’ll need FTP details to manually update htaccess.

Can you please install htaccess editor plugin? Also I would need a member login details to check the things (may be you can create temporary member)
